Police responded to a reported larceny on Sept. 15 and after reviewing CCTV footage were able to identify Belmonte and her vehicle. An arrest warrant was issued on Sept. 29 by Judge Cohen-Pearson. more
A Yorktown man was arrested following a months-long investigation that began in June into alleged weapons violations, police said. Demian Kassetas, 49, was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a Class D felony, according to the Yorktown Police Department. more
Officers responded to 1366 East Main St. on Sept. 26 just before 8 p.m. for a fight in progress. After dispersing the crowd, an investigation identified four male teens — ages 14 and 17 of Yorktown and ages 15 and 16 of Cortlandt Manor — who allegedly struck a victim in the face with closed fists, causing physical injury. Officers responded to a Yorktown home the morning of Oct. 10 after a report of a domestic incident. Police said their investigation found that the night before, around 10 p.m., the man allegedly choked the victim and pushed her to the ground.
