YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y.—The Yorktown Police Department welcomed new officers and celebrated promotions for others, continuing the tradition of Chief of Police Robert Noble introducing his men and women in blue to the community.
During a presentation at Town Hall on Tuesday Noble formally introduced the officers and highlighted their service, leadership, and commitment to keeping Yorktown safe.
Among those recognized on Dec. 16, were Sergeant Timothy Curtin, who serves as a patrol supervisor, and Detective and Youth Officer Colin Houlihan, who played a key role in several felony arrests.
Police Officer Stephen Santoro returned to Yorktown after leaving a specialized bureau in the NYPD, where he worked in criminal and domestic violence, to continue serving the community.
Police Officer Christopher Rabasco, a 2017 Yorktown graduate, returned from the NYPD to give back to his hometown.
Police Officer Michael Marji, a Yonkers native and 2013 Mercy University graduate, is the first in his family to join law enforcement. Since joining the Yorktown Police Department in September, he has focused on promoting safety, fostering trust, and serving the community while raising his family in Yorktown.
“Many of them have skin in the game,” Noble said. “There are communities that have to hire police officers that come from nowhere near the town that they work in. I want to come in, hit their eight hours, and get out of here.
You honestly do have a family looking out for your families.”
