A 31-year-old homeless man was arrested last week on multiple felony and misdemeanor charges following an investigation into thefts from a Yorktown storage facility, police said.

Ryan McCullough was arrested Dec. 17 at about 3:22 p.m. on Route 6 and charged with third-degree burglary (a class D felony), fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property (a class E felony), petit larceny, fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, and possession of burglar’s tools, all class A misdemeanors.

According to Yorktown police, officers responded to CubeSmart, 3277 Crompond Road, on Nov. 25 at approximately 4:55 p.m. following a report of items missing from a storage unit. An investigation led by Det. Sage determined that McCullough allegedly unlawfully entered multiple storage units and removed property belonging to the victims. Police also allege he was in possession of burglar’s tools and stolen items at the time of his arrest.

McCullough was taken into custody by Yorktown detectives and officers and transported to police headquarters for processing. He was arraigned before Judge Raniolo and remanded to the Westchester County Jail.

McCullough is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on Jan. 6 at 6 p.m.
