Lake Mohegan firefighter Tommy Russo has retired after decades of service. Russo recently completed his final tour with the Lake Mohegan Fire District, saying goodbye after nearly 25 years of service, the Lake Mohegan Professional Firefighters Local 2956, the local union chapter, said in a Facebook post.

Residents in the Yorktown Water District may have recently received a notice regarding the town’s water system as part of a federally required lead service line inventory. Town officials visited the Triangle Shopping Center on Tuesday as crews continue a $10 million renovation of the retail complex. According to a press release from the town, the 208,000-square-foot shopping center at the intersection of Saw Mill River Road and Maple Hill Street currently has crews updating store facades and installing new sidewalks. The project also includes repaving the 867-space parking lot.
