A 39-year-old Bedford woman was arrested Oct. 22 after allegedly violating a court-issued order of protection, according to Yorktown police.

Amanda Gilyard was charged with second-degree criminal contempt, a Class A misdemeanor.

Police said they received a report of a domestic incident Oct. 21. Following an investigation, authorities determined that Gilyard allegedly violated an order of protection issued by White Plains Family Court by having direct contact and communication with the victim.

Gilyard turned herself in to Yorktown police Oct. 22 and was arraigned before Judge Cohen Pierson in Yorktown Justice Court.

Bail was set at $5,000 cash, $10,000 bond or $20,000 partially secured bond. Gilyard posted bail and was released.

She was scheduled to return to Yorktown Justice Court late last week.
