Peekskill man charged in Club Fit wallet theft

A 68-year-old Peekskill man was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and petit larceny after Yorktown Police said he stole a wallet from a locker at Club Fit, 600 Bank Rd.

Police said they received a report of the July 3 theft and identified the suspect through an investigation. The suspect allegedly attempted to use the victim’s credit cards at several locations.

According to police, Martin L. Robbins voluntarily went to Yorktown Police Headquarters on July 8, where he was interviewed and arrested. He was issued an appearance ticket and released on his own recognizance. Robbins is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on July 28 at 6 p.m.
