An Ossining man was arrested Sept. 10 and charged in connection with a hit-and-run crash that left a person seriously injured, Yorktown police said.
Police said officers responded Sept. 8 around 5:54 p.m. to reports of a two-car crash with injuries and entrapment. Investigators allege the driver, identified as Jhonny Robalino Troya, struck another vehicle and fled the scene on foot. The victim was transported to a hospital for evaluation. Their current condition is not known.
Following an investigation, police said the 33-year-old surrendered at police headquarters Sept. 10. He was charged with leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident resulting in serious physical injury, a class E felony, and several traffic violations, including unlicensed operation and speeding.
He was released on his own recognizance and is due to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on Sept. 23.
