LI woman allegedly steals nearly $1,900 in skincare products from CVS on Commerce Street

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. —A 31-year-old Long Island woman was arrested for allegedly stealing nearly $1,900 worth of skincare products from CVS Pharmacy on Commerce Street, police said.

Deanna Belmonte, of East Moriches, was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, a Class E felony. Officers said she took multiple skincare items valued at $1,855.26.

Police responded to a reported larceny on Sept. 15 and after reviewing CCTV footage were able to identify Belmonte and her vehicle. An arrest warrant was issued on Sept. 29 by Judge Cohen-Pearson.

Belmonte, who was already held at Westchester County Jail on unrelated charges, was transported to Yorktown Police Headquarters for processing, then arraigned and remanded to the county jail.

She’s due to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on Thursday, Nov. 13 at 6 p.m.
