Donna O’Dell-Romanowich, 71, a deeply beloved wife and mother, passed away on Oct. 14, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of love and a light that can never be replaced.
Born on March 23, 1955, in Cold Spring, New York, Donna was one of six siblings. She was the very definition of strength, kindness, and compassion—a woman whose warmth made people feel welcome, whose generosity came naturally, and whose presence could brighten an entire room simply by walking through the door. To know her was to love her.
Donna brought beauty into the world through the things she loved. An exceptional cook, she filled her kitchen with meals that brought people together. Her creativity shone through her crafting, turning ordinary materials into something special. Her garden flourished under her care, reflecting the patience, tenderness, and love she gave so freely to those around her.
Above all, Donna was a devoted wife to her loving husband, John, and a cherished mother to her daughter, Brittany, who survive her. For Brittany, she was also her best friend and the most important woman in her life. The love she gave them will remain woven into every memory, every tradition, and every ordinary moment made extraordinary because she was part of it.
Donna will be missed more deeply than words can ever express. There is no replacing someone who made the world so much warmer and more beautiful simply by being in it. Her light lives on in the people she loved, the lives she touched, and the countless ways she taught those around her to care.
