A 31-year-old Cortlandt Manor man was arrested March 11 after police said they found crack cocaine and heroin during a traffic stop on Route 202.

Detective James Hannigan was conducting narcotics enforcement patrols when he observed a vehicle allegedly speeding and tailgating another car, Yorktown police said. Hannigan conducted a traffic stop and identified the driver as Jonathan Roldan.

Police said Hannigan, assisted by Officer Michael Campion and his narcotics detection K-9, Spar, conducted an investigation at the scene. At the conclusion of the investigation, quantities of crack cocaine and heroin were allegedly found in the Roldan’s possession. The department did not specify an amount.

Roldan was arrested and transported to the Yorktown Police Department for processing. He was issued an appearance ticket on the charge and released on his own recognizance. He is charged with two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a Class A misdemeanor.

He is due in Yorktown Justice Court March 31 at 6 p.m.
