Lucas delivers results. Why make a change?

Dear Editor,

I am writing to express my support for Town Supervisor Warren Lucas's re-election this November. Why consider a change?

I have known Warren for approximately 25 years in various capacities — as a neighbor, town supervisor, and friend. Warren Lucas has cultivated many friendships because of his leadership approach: he prioritizes his constituents' needs above his own. That is what truly matters. Warren is the type of person who would arrive at your door in the middle of the night to address a genuine crisis.

He is a devoted family man with deep community roots, having lived in our town his entire life. Combined with his 37 years of service on the Town Board, these qualities make him the clear choice. He is certainly not an unknown candidate.

His accomplishments speak for themselves. He brought the Peach Lake Sewer District to reality and has secured tens of millions of dollars in grants to improve our town while reducing that burden on local taxpayers. His careful management of town finances has maintained an AA+ bond rating and just last month received a perfect municipal fiscal health score from the NYS Comptroller’s Office. He oversees five water systems and the town’s sewer systems without the additional staffing those responsibilities would typically require, while keeping public safety a priority. These are lasting results that benefit North Salem residents every day.

Warren Lucas is not merely a politician who makes empty promises to win elections. He delivers results and keeps his commitments. He has run unopposed for many years — a testament to the community's recognition of genuine leadership. This is not the time for change. We need stability, and Warren Lucas will provide it, as he consistently has. Why make a change?

Vote for Warren Lucas.
