It is with profound sorrow that we announce the death of Jorge R. Jurado, we offer our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends.

Jorge Jurado was born in Tiquisate, Guatemala to his parents Anatalia and Oscar Jurado on April 13, 1957. He is the third of six children.

Jorge attended elementary school in "El Calvario" in Villa Nueva Guatemala, where he also graduated high school from.

Shortly after, he met Gloria Patricia Aguilar Castillo and they were married on May 19, 1989. Three children came from this union.

Jorge was fortunate to obtain employment in New York. He worked in the union 1010 as a construction worker, and helped to build the White Stone Bridge. Jorge retired after working for 20 years in 7 Springs maintaining and taking care of property. He worked tirelessly to ensure his loved ones could move forward, putting their wellbeing before his own.

Jorge enjoyed to stay active. He played soccer in his younger years, enjoyed a good ping pong match, had fun taking shots with a bow and arrow, ran a marathon, sought to exercise, and loved to take his walks in the morning.

His heart was as big as his spirit —though sensitive, it was full of warmth and compassion. Anyone that crossed paths with Jorge was welcomed with opened arms, instantly made to feel like family. Jorge had a remarkable gift for storytelling, weaving tales from his beautiful life experiences, often sprinkled with jokes to bring a good smile and laughter to those around him.

He touched countless lives, leaving behind memories filled with joy, love, his light, and a sense of belonging. His kindness to everyone he encountered left an indelible mark in our lives. We love you and miss you. He leaves to mourn his passing; his loving wife, Patty; three children - Jorge, Jasmine, and Anthony; two grand children; 4 siblings; a host of cousins and other relatives and friends.

Lovingly submitted,
