Jordan Donald Ellsworth, a beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2026, at the age of 77. Born on May 3, 1948, in Binghamton, New York, to Richard Ellsworth and Drusilla (Jordan) Ellsworth, Jordan built a life rich with love, laughter, and quiet acts of kindness in his home of Goldens Bridge, New York.
Jordan was a devoted husband to Carlota for 55 years, a loving father to Christie & her husband Erik, Katherine & her husband Tom and adoring grandfather to Skye, Sam, Beatrice, and Eleanor. He was also a treasured brother to Jon Ellsworth and his wife Cindy, Jill Cacciatore and her husband John, Jan DiPippo (deceased) and Judy Ellsworth; uncle, and loyal friend to many. His family was his greatest joy, and he welcomed everyone into his heart without reservation.
He will be remembered for his selflessness, his wonderful sense of humor, and his deep generosity of spirit. He was the kind of man who put others first without a second thought. Music moved him, his garden grounded him, and he found quiet delight in feeding the birds and chipmunks that visited his yard — small joys that reflected the gentleness of his soul.
Jordan leaves behind a family that adored him and a community made better by his presence.
He lived with open hands and an open heart, and the world is quieter without him.
