George "Joe" Bracken of Oxford, PA and formerly of Yorktown Heights, NY passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, March 8, 2026 surrounded by his family. He was 87 years old. Born in Mt. Vernon Hospital, he was the son of the late George J. Bracken and Helen Youngman Bracken. He was a graduate of Iona College earning a Bachelor's Degree in Business. He worked for General Foods Company in White Plains, NY for many years. He also volunteered for Meals-on-Wheels, Big Brothers and the YAC where he coached youth in multiple sports which was a great passion of his. He was the beloved husband of Mae Bernhart Bracken, devoted father to Thomas Bracken (Betsy), Eileen Nigro (Vincent), Joyce Burke and Lynn Martin. Grandfather to Michelle Nigro, Kevin Bracken, Allyson Piazza, Holly Ireland, Jess Burke, Kayla Crane, Megan Jira, Vincent Nigro and Christopher Martin. Great grandfather of 9. Interment will be private.
