Robert James ‘Link’ Linkenhoker passed away unexpectedly at home, on Wednesday, October 16, 2024. He was 53 years old.

Robert was born October 18, 1970, in Carmel, New York, son of the late, James and Hazel (Sprague) Linkenhoker.

Robert was deeply involved in his community; he worked for the Village of Brewster Highway Department for many years and was a life member of the Brewster Fire Department. He was also a member of the Iron Order Motorcycle Club.

His greatest joy was to be out on his bike – cruising, thinking, and enjoying the scenery and solitude. He loved animals and helped frequently on Stoneleigh Farm, assisting with the care of the horses. Robert was also a gun collector who enjoyed hunting and fishing. An avid cook, he loved to eat good food, and would make regular trips to Warrensburg, near Lake George, just to eat at Oscar’s Smokehouse. Robert was selfless in his generosity, always available to jump in and lend a hand.

He will be forever remembered for the smile and wave he offered from his truck that was a bright spot in the day for all those he knew as he drove around Brewster.

Robert is survived by his sister, Elizabeth and her husband Wayne Geiss of Bluff City, TN; his brother James and his wife Brenda Linkenhoker of Elizabeth, TN; his sister Wendy and husband David Vaught of Bristol, TN; and his sister Cynthia and husband Paul Cervoni of Brewster, NY.

Robert is predeceased by his sister Marlene Linkenhoker.

Donations may be made in Robert's memory to the Brewster Fire Department.
