Nicholas Capichiano

It is with extreme sadness and heartache that the family of Nicholas “Nick”Capichiano announce his unexpected passing on October 1, 2024 at the age of 30.

Nicholas is survived by his parents Laurie (Racca) and Joseph Capichiano, his most loving and very protective siblings Noelle (Capichiano) Pironti, her husband Frankie and their children Natalia and Luke, Joey Capichiano and his wife Becky and their children Theo and Ava. He is also survived by his Grandparents Karen and James Racca and Jeanie and Joseph Capichiano along with many loving Aunts, Uncles, cousins and friends. Tiffany, Zeke and Neriah held a very loving and special place in his heart.

Nicholas was born at Danbury Hospital on September 14, 1994. He was a 2012 graduate of New Fairfield High School. He worked as a landscaper, working for T.J.’s Outdoor Services as a tree worker and most recently as a groundskeeper at Purchase College.

Nick had the most beautiful smile and a beautiful soul. He loved his family deeply and loved to make people laugh. He enjoyed working on cars, fishing and listening to music. He listened to music constantly as he found a connection with songs that spoke to him and were meaningful to him.

Our hearts are broken, the sadness and pain is so intense but as Jelly Roll states in his song “I am Not Okay”…I know, I can’t be the only one who’s holding on for dear life, But God knows, I know when it’s all said and done, I’m not okay but it’s all gonna be alright, it’s not okay but we’re all gonna be alright.” Nick will live forever and always in our hearts.

Please remember what’s important in life. The love of family and friends. The connections we have with one another. We all want to be loved, accepted, respected and treated with kindness. In turn we need to extend that to others…treat others the way you want to be treated.

The outpouring of love has been extraordinary. We are deeply touched, appreciative and comforted knowing our family is being held close in the thoughts and prayers of others including the amazingly kind gestures that have been extended to us. Thank you, thank you to each of you who have either called, texted, sent a card, stopped to visit us, sent flowers, delivered the most delicious meals and snacks to comfort us. From the bottom of our hearts we thank you.

Please join us on Tuesday, October 15, from 3:00 to 7:00 at Tarrywile Mansion in Danbury as we will be hosting a gathering to remember and honor Nicholas.
