Lorraine F. Brandt, beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, passed away after a life filled with care, connection, and community.

Lorraine lived in Brewster for 53 years, after growing up in Yonkers, NY. She worked for many years as a registered nurse at Westchester Medical Center, where she was known for her skill, dedication, and compassion.

She had a wide range of interests—from crocheting and baking to doting on her cats—but one of her greatest joys was giving back to the community she called home. Alongside her friends, Lorraine helped found two cherished local traditions: the Halloween Parade and the “Meet Mr. and Mrs. Claus” event in the Village of Brewster. Though she stayed behind the scenes, organizing every detail, she took great pride in bringing these celebrations to life.

Lorraine is survived by her husband Richard, her daughter Amy, and her brothers Chip and Peter. Her warmth, creativity, and generosity live on in her three grandchildren: Madeline, Meredith, and Jane.
