Liana Jean Meliambro Larizza was born on January 21, 1967 in Mount Kisco, NY, to Gina and Diego Meliambro, the youngest of 5 children. Liana's love for fashion started early on. She worked at a handbag boutique starting at 16 which motivated her passion for design. She then became a manager at a high-end department store in Katonah, NY. She was managing several employees at just the age of 18 and managed to get a degree in retail management.
She met the love of her life Nick Larizza in the late 80s and married in 1989. They were blessed with two beautiful daughters Alyssa Jean & Nicole Roxanne. Liana helped her husband Nick organize his masonry construction company. In later years when her disease progressed, she enjoyed designing and organizing home renovations.
She did suffer from chronic diseases for almost 30 years, but she above anything pulled through for her daughters, husband, and extended family. She will be greatly missed as a sweet, beautiful, kind, generous, and loving woman!
Liana is survived by her husband Nick Larizza, daughters Alyssa Larizza and Nicole Larizza all of Mount Kisco, NY. She is also survived by siblings, Vicky Larizza (Mount Kisco, NY), Rocco and Toni Meliambro (Jericho, NY), Joseph Meliambro (Mount Kisco, NY), Brother-In Law Joesph and Angela Larizza, Maria and Carmelo Mangeruca, Rocco and Jo-Ann Larizza, and several nieces and nephews. Many loved ones and extended family members.
She is predeceased by parents Diego and Gina Meliambro, brother Carmine Meliambro, and Joesph Larizza.
Family and friends were invited to Cassidy-Flynn Funeral Directors in Mount Kisco on Friday, March 20, for visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday March 21, at St. Francis of Assisi Church. Burial followed at St. Francis Cemetery.
