Lucille Zucconi

It is with heavy hearts that we grieve the passing of Lucille Zucconi—a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Lucille, best known to us as Grandma Lucy left us peacefully in her sleep on September 27, 2024 at the young age of 93. Born on May 18, 1931, she lived a life full of music, laughter, and love.

As our matriarch, she always provided unwavering support and instilled in all of us the value of compassion, generosity, and family. Her stories, woven with history and humor, connected all the generations and kept the memory of her beloved husband, Vic, ever-present in our lives.

Lucille's house was the center of countless holidays, gatherings, and memories. There was no home like Grandma's home. Her home was like a time capsule: Christmas Eve was celebrated with Italian recipes for the seven fishes, including her famous baccala; Frank Sinatra memorabilia covered the walls; her piano's top was filled with relics, old and new; and everywhere you looked were pictures of her family. Lucille was the most proud of her family and it is that pride and deep love that we will miss most of all.

Lucille leaves behind a legacy of love in her 4 children, 13 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren (with two more on the way!), each of whom carry her spirit and her character in their hearts. We feel incredibly lucky to have had so much quality time with our mother and grandma, and will forever cherish the memories of her dancing, her laughter, and the warmth she brought into our lives. But we know that she is reunited with the love of her life now and they are both watching over us, beaming with pride and love as they dance across the sky.
