Julia “Honey” Diesu, of Cross River, New York, formerly of West Islip, passed away peacefully of natural causes on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at Westchester Medical Center. She was 95 years old.

Julia was born on May 15, 1931, in Brooklyn, New York, where she grew up. On January 6, 1951, she married her beloved husband, Anthony Diesu. Together, they shared 70 wonderful years of marriage and built a beautiful life and family in West Islip, New York, where they raised their three children, Kathleen, April, and Barry.

Affectionately known as “Honey,” Julia was a beloved grandmother to Darleen Diesu, Barry Diesu, Anthony Diesu, Michelle Musalo and her husband, Joe, Brittany Handelson and her husband, Clinton, Anthony Daniello and his wife, Jazmine, Nicholas Daniello, Christian Daniello and his wife, Arielle, and Michael Daniello and his wife, Danielle.

She was also the cherished great-grandmother of 11 beautiful great-grandchildren: Eli Rodriguez; Alivia and Samantha Musalo; Corey, Cameron, and Caden Diesu; Luca, Adaline, and Romeo Daniello; and Lyla and Liam Daniello.

Julia is survived by her loving daughter, Kathleen Daniello; her son-in-law, Anthony Daniello; and Anthony’s wife, Ann Daniello.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Anthony Diesu; her daughter, April Daniello; her son, Barry Diesu; and her son-in-law, Dr. Nicholas Daniello.

Family and friends called at Clark Associates Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 16, 2026.

The Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 55 Valley Road, Katonah, New York.

Interment followed at North Babylon Cemetery, Livingston Avenue, Babylon, New York, where Julia was laid to rest and reunited with her beloved husband, Anthony, her daughter, April, and her son, Barry.
