Dear Editor,
I would like to take a moment to recognize someone who has truly made a lasting impact on me and my family: Sergio Esposito.
I moved from the town where I grew up and lived for over 30 years. It was a place where I knew everyone, and I always thought I would raise my family there. However, when my husband and I were ready to buy our first home, we wanted a community where we would truly fit in, one that offered lower taxes and more value for our money, but also a place with history and character where our kids could grow up. Almost three years ago, we found that in Yorktown Heights.
At first, I didn’t know anyone, and like many people starting fresh in a new town, I was nervous and uncertain. That changed when I was introduced to Sergio. From the very beginning, he made me feel welcome and part of this community. There is something special about him: his charisma, his warmth and his genuine way of connecting with people—that immediately makes you feel like family.
Sergio has a gift for uniting people and bringing our community together. His tireless support of local businesses is exceptional, and his enthusiasm for uplifting others is contagious. What stands out most to me is the way he shows up for our young residents, whether it’s supporting district events, cheering at school activities or encouraging the next generation. His presence is a reminder that community is built on connection, support and heart.
As a Yorktown resident, I am proud to support our businesses and community as well, and I am grateful for the example Sergio sets every single day. He has made me feel at home here, and I know many others would say the same.
Thank you, Sergio, for all you do for Yorktown; you truly make a difference.
