Rose Marie Nicholas, a beacon of laughter and love, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2026, in Somers, NY, at the age of 89. Known affectionately as Rose to her friends and family, she brought joy and passion to every corner of her world since her birth on July 9, 1936, in Ossining, NY. Rose's early years were spent in the bustling city of Yonkers, NY, where she graduated from Commerce High School. Her education laid the foundation for a fulfilling career in the medical office field, where she touched many lives with her humor and caring nature. Rose dedicated herself to her work and was highly respected by her colleagues and those she served, leaving behind a legacy of professionalism infused with a personal touch.
At home, Rose was the heart of her family, a role she cherished deeply. She is survived by her loving children: Andrea D’Aquila, Susan Fontana, and Joseph Anderek; her siblings, Emily Amadio and Carmine Chillo; and her adoring grandchildren, Anthony Argentino, Lauren Debiase, and Jacqueline Bruno. Rose was also a great-grandmother to Eva Victoria Debiase along with many nieces and nephews. Her light will be missed by all, including her many friends and extended family members.
Rose was predeceased in death by her beloved granddaughter, Victoria Argentino, with whom she now shares a heavenly reunion. Rose's life was marked by her infectious sense of humor, her unwavering love for her family, and her passionate approach to everything she did. Her laughter was a melody that resonated in the hearts of those who knew her, and her warmth was a comfort to anyone in need.Rose cultivated relationships that lasted a lifetime and always made time for anyone who needed a friend.
