Robert Salvatore Manzella, known to family and friends as Bob, was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend who passed away on Oct. 16, 2026, in Cortlandt Manor, New York, at the age of 80.

Bob was born on May 5, 1946, to Matteo and Rose Manzella, in the Bronx, New York, and he carried the strength, spirit, and determination of his hometown throughout his life. He grew up with a steady faith and a deep sense of responsibility. Those who knew him best remember a man who was wise and selfless in his actions.

He attended Evander Childs High School and later Iona College, where he built the foundation for a life marked by discipline, integrity, and service. Bob went on to become a Certified Public Accountant and later became a partner at Pustorino, Puglisi & Co., which later merged with Grassi & Co., where he was respected not only for his professional skill, but also for his honesty, diligence, and calm presence.

Above all else, Bob was a family man. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Susan Manzella, and together they built a home filled with love. He is survived by his children, Jason, Melissa, and Rob, each of whom carries forward his example of faith, perseverance, and devotion. He was also the proud father-in-law of Jaime Manzella, wife of Jason, and Natalie Dicola, fiancée of Robert M., and he found great joy in the lives of his grandchildren, Julia, Jason, Chloe, Emma, Matteo, and Nico. He is also survived by his brothers-in-law, Sal, Bob, and Anthony Ruggerio; sister-in-laws, Mary Ruggerio, and Pat Passannant; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bob’s life was also marked by his generosity of spirit and his willingness to give his time. He loved coaching his children in youth sports, where his encouragement and steady guidance helped shape character and confidence. After his children had grown, he continued to serve others by volunteering his time with the Yorktown Athletic Club, remaining a steady and familiar presence in the community. He also gave his time to the Dominican Sisters of Sparkhill, reflecting the Christian faith that guided his heart and his actions. Bob also loved his tight-knit community of the Hollowbrook Mews.

Outside of work and service, Bob found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He loved his Corvette and enjoyed attending car shows. He was a loyal and enthusiastic fan of the Yankees, Islanders, and Jets, and he followed his favorite teams with enthusiasm. Bob was also an avid fan of all of his grandchildren’s teams and loved attending games to watch them play.

As family and friends mourn his passing, they also give thanks for the long and meaningful life he lived. Robert Salvatore Manzella leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and devotion that will continue to inspire those who knew him. May he rest in the peace of Christ, and may his memory remain a blessing to all who loved him.
