John Doscas, beloved husband of Theresa Aguis Doscas, devoted and loving dad of Peter (Gina), Theresa Rofrano (John), and John (Donna), loving Poppy to Peter, Johnny, James (Amy), Michael (Chelsea), Robert (Diana), Christina (Sean), Matthew (Daniella), John Tyler, Thomas, Alexis, great grandfather to Robert James, step grandfather to Sara Gasperino, step great-grandfather to Michael and Lucas Gasperino and dear brother of the late Daniel, late Andrew (late Anastasia), late Eugenia (late Paul) Condiles, Elaine (Peter) Psyllos, Georgia Kalogerakis, brother-in-law of Anita (late Alonso) Escalante.

John was born in McKeesport, PA and moved to New York at a young age. By the 2nd grade he had met the love of his life and future wife, Theresa. After completing high school, John worked for Bulova until his mom Anna suggested he apply to IBM. John took his mom’s suggestion, applied and started his lifelong career at IBM in 1957. John absolutely loved working for IBM and advanced through many managerial, accounting, and financial positions during his 36 years with the company. He retired from IBM in 1993, but continued working in various jobs including a private consultant and realtor. As much as John loved working what was most important to him was his family. Any choice he made was made with consideration as to how it would impact his family. He had such a big heart and his kindness was truly inspiring and brought so much joy to his family and friends. Family gatherings brought him so much happiness and are some of his fondest memories.

As those who loved him reflect on his life, they will remember a man who lived with heart and dignity, a life beautifully lived. John brought light into the lives of others through his loving spirit and his unwavering kindness. His legacy is one of care, generosity, and quiet strength, and it will continue to live on in the stories shared, the lives he touched, and the example he set. He will be deeply missed, but will be forever in our hearts and lovingly remembered always.
