Francis “Frank” Haviland passed away unexpectedly in his home on October 5, 2025.

Frank was born in 1955 in Tarrytown, N.Y., to his parents, Florence and Arthur Haviland. He grew up in Yorktown Heights, N.Y., where he graduated from Yorktown High School in 1973. After high school, he held several jobs, including at A&P in Yorktown, Westchester County Beeline Bus and as a bus driver for the Byram Hills School District, where he retired in 2021. Frank spent many years volunteering at multiple places, including the Yorktown Fire Department as a fireman and the Wolf Conservation Center.

After Frank’s retirement, he participated in many activities to keep himself busy. This included a meetup group he organized named “Never a Dull Moment,” where members would go to trivia nights, concerts, festivals and other events. He also enjoyed hiking with his dogs and spending time with his beloved family, friends and dogs.

Frank is survived by his brothers, Arthur and Greg Haviland; his sister, Pam Haviland; his children, Robert, Jennifer and Stephanie Haviland; and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Dominique, Tyler, Liam, Ryder and Eliana. He will be met in heaven by his parents, Florence and Arthur Haviland, and children, Francis and Florence Haviland.
