Mr. Silvano Panizzut died peacefully on October 14, 2026 at Danbury Hospital.
Silvano was born on April 2, 1934 in Italy to Luiga and Valentino Panizzut. He came to the United States when he was just 18 and began working in restaurants as a waiter. He met the love of his life, Julia Genovesi and married in 1956. They remained married until her death in 2009.
He opened his own successful restaurant in Bedford Hills, Ristorante Silvano, in 1967 and was known for his warm personality and incredible knack for never forgetting a customer's name. He loved to garden and golf but most of all, he loved his family.
He leaves behind his daughters, Silvana (Mario) Malpelli and Pamela (Silvio) Belmonte; his grandchildren, Elizabeth (Daniel), Jessica, Claudia, John and Luke and his great-grandchildren, William and Thomas. Also his brother, Oscar Panizzut and sister, Antonietta Signora and numerous nieces and nephews.
His family will receive friends on Friday, Oct. 16 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah, NY.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Sat, Oct 17 at 9:30 a.m.
At St.. Mary of The Assumption Church, 55 Valley Road, Katonah, NY
Interment will follow at St. Francis Cemetery, Lexington Avenue, Mount Kisco, NY
