Maureen Bridget Duppel passed away peacefully in her sleep on Oct. 24, 2026 in Putnam Valley NY at the age of 48.
Maureen is survived by Michael her devoted husband and partner of almost 30 years, her beloved daughters Emma Rose and Lily Isabella, her mother Lillian Curran (nee Brady), sister Kathleen Curran and Magnolia her bulldog best friend and guardian.
She was born in the Bronx to the late James F Curran and Lillian Curran and attended Cardinal Spellman High School and Fordham University.
Maureen will forever be remembered for her deep love of her family. Despite her own personal challenges she was perpetually selfless, giving all she had to provide a stable, loving and nurturing home.
She loved nature, photography, cooking and top down drives from SFO to wine country where the smell, mist and temperature gradients provide the senses with a needed departure from life in NY. She made friends wherever she went from poolside in Cancun to a school event at our local town park.
A viewing will be held at Yorktown Funeral Home, 945 East Main Street, Shrub Oak from 5 to 8 p.m. on Oct. 28 with interment at Rose Hills Memorial Park, 100 Mill Street, Putnam Valley, at 11:15 a.m. on Oct. 29
