Gloria M. Baker of Wappinger Falls, NY, passed away Tuesday October 27, 2026, in Homes, NY at the age of 93.
Gloria was born on December 1, 1932, in Mt. Kisco, NY, daughter of the late Theodore and Mary (Riley) Kenney. She graduated from Purdy’s Central High School in 1949. On March 4, 1961, Gloria married Daniel C. Baker in Patterson, NY. They lived in Carmel, NY for forty years. During that time Gloria worked as a Diet Aid at Putnam Hospital Center in Carmel, retiring in 1994 and was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Mahopac, post 1080. In 2008 they moved to Wappinger Falls.
Gloria is survived by her daughters Debra Dellocono of Lake Carmel, NY and Gloria Baker of Hopewell Jct., NY; grandchildren Joshua, Sarah, Justin, Gary Jr., and Gabrielle; great grandchildren Eva, Maya and Mason. Visitation will take place on Monday November 2, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 12 p.m. at Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Ave., Brewster, NY.
The burial will follow immediately following the services at Union Valley Cemetery in Mahopac.
