Thomas P. Lennon, affectionately known as "Buddy," passed away peacefully on January 27, 2025, at Regional Hospice in Danbury, CT, surrounded by his loving family. Thomas was born in the Bronx to Irish immigrant parents, Thomas and Mary Lennon. He has a sister Carmel (Thomas) and his brother, James (predeceased).
Thomas was a devoted family man, dedicated worker, and pillar of honesty and integrity. He is predeceased by his beloved eldest son, Thomas M Lennon (Nancy).
He is survived by his best friend and devoted wife, Catherine "Kitty" Lennon; their children, Catherine (Victor), Dennis, James (Lorraine), and Patricia (Kevin); and nine cherished grandchildren; Timothy, Sean, Kevin, Michael, Leah, Daniel, Erin, Brendan and Owen.
Thomas met the love of his life, Kitty, at an Irish dance hall and they have been inseparable for over 63 years. In 1973, Thomas and Kitty moved to Brewster, NY, where they resided until Kitty suffered a stroke five years ago. Since then, Thomas has been by Kitty's side, residing with her in assisted living in CT.
A proud veteran, Thomas served in the United States Army and spent his career working as a Supervisor for Con Edison, from which he retired.
He enjoyed sailing, bird watching, and sharing long rides and walks by the ocean with his wife Kitty. He also had a great passion for reading and was rarely without a good book by his side.
Thomas leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and a commitment to doing the right thing in life. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His memory will live on in our hearts.
