Thomas “Tom” Maloney, 58, of Danbury, CT, passed away peacefully at his home on January 4, 2025. Born on November 16, 1966, in White Plains, NY, Tom was known for his big heart, love of craftsmanship, and devotion to his family, friends, and pets.
A graduate of Brewster High School, Tom pursued his passion for woodworking and ran his own business, Maloney Carpentry, where he took pride in his work and served his community with dedication. He had a remarkable talent for building homes, leaving behind a legacy of skill and artistry.
Tom found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as spending time with his two beloved dogs, Pickles and Bella, and his cat, Mrs. Meowers. He was an enthusiast of model train sets and a longtime admirer of classic cars. He also loved cheering for the Dallas Cowboys and riding his Texas Chopper motorcycle.
Tom cherished moments spent with his sons, nieces and nephews, always finding joy in their company. He is survived by his former wife, April Tyndall; his two sons, Tommy and Tyler Maloney; his mother, Mary Loughran; his sister, Kelly, and her husband Rick; his brother Casey and his wife Diana; and his brother Jamie and his wife Susan.
Tom will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his memory will forever live on in the hearts of his loved ones.
A wake will be held honoring and celebrating Tom’s life on Thursday, January 9, 2025 from 4 to 8 p.m. A funeral will also be held at St. Lawrence O'Toole Church on Friday January 10, 2025 at 10 a.m.
