Robert Peter Hoffmann, age 84, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2025. Born on January 16, 1941, in New York City, Robert lived a long and meaningful life marked by quiet strength, a gentle spirit, and deep love for his family.
Robert was a beloved son of the late Arthur and Katherina Hoffmann, and is survived by his younger brother Richard Hoffmann and sister-in-law Bernadette Hoffmann. He was a cherished uncle to Bobby, Michael, Brian, and Patty, and a proud great-uncle to a myriad of grandnieces and grandnephews—each of whom brought him immense joy.
Robert was a person with special needs and spent the last 30+ years of his life in the care of CLC, a group home that provided him with not just housing and support, but true comradery and community. CLC was a place Robert deeply loved, where he made close friends and enjoyed a life filled with warmth, humor, and connection.
He will be remembered fondly for his kindness, his infectious laugh, and the unique and genuine way he touched the lives of those around him. Robert's memory will live on in the hearts of his family and everyone who had the joy of knowing him.
Visitation will be Tuesday, April 22, from 3 to 7 p.m. at Cassidy Flynn Funeral Directors, 288 East Main Street, Mount Kisco, NY 10549
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 23 at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church 95 Plum Brook Rd, Somers, NY 10589 with burial to follow at Saint Joseph's Cemetery, 357 US-202, Somers, NY 10589.
There will be a post-burial celebration of life after this, so please come and share your most happy thoughts of Robert.
