If you could hear the laugh from down the hallway, and the room felt warm and welcoming as you walked in…. then you knew Patricia Davis. If she would greet you with a hug and kiss on the cheek then you knew Tricia. If you took an elevator ride with her and left with a new friend you knew Tricia! It is in wishing we could hear that laugh one more time that we must acknowledge that the world is indeed just a little less joyful with the passing of Patricia Ann Davis on Nov. 4, 2024. Trish died peacefully after a determined fight with cancer. She was 57 years old.
Patricia was born in Englewood, N.J. in 1967 to Brian and Marie Anne Gorman. She attended Pace University where she began her calling as a caregiver with a degree in nursing. She went on to work at White Plains Hospital as an oncology nurse and then as Clinical Nurse Manager at a Urology clinic where she was an exemplary nurse, mentor and friend.
Tricia married her soulmate, Robert Shamil Davis, on Nov. 23, 1996. They welcomed their twin sons Sean Robert and Ryan Patrick Davis in 2008 and Tricia devoted herself to her beloved children. Tricia transitioned to full-time caregiver of all her “boys” and was a gifted homemaker and skilled cook who never showed up empty-handed. She delighted in being a proud aunt to her nieces Riley and Jackie. She was a connector within her community, organizing block parties, book clubs, and visits from Santa. She was the President of the PTA at the boys’ school and on the PTSA for the Yorktown Central School District. She was the team mom, the room mother and there on the sidelines of soccer games, Lego robotics competitions and basketball games. Tricia shared a passion with Robert and the kids for the Mets and Notre Dame football (the latter not being optional). Her happy place was at the beach doting on her family and friends; a drink in her hand laughing the afternoon away. May we all be blessed to remember her this way.
