Ida “Iris” Cippoletti passed away on Sept, 9, 2026, in Mahopac, New York, at the age of 80.
Born on May 31, 1946, in Bronx, New York to Dominick and Angelina Squillante. Iris lived a life grounded in faith, family, compassion, and love. She was a kind and devoted woman whose warmth, honesty, and gentle strength touched many.
Iris was the beloved wife of the late Michael Cippoletti and a devoted mother to Anndrian Keller (Gregory) and Gabrielle Pikoulas (Christopher). She found great joy in her role as grandmother to Rachel, Rebecca, Robert, Makaila & Christiana, and she cherished every moment spent with them. She is also survived by her brother, Nunzio Squillante, with whom she shared a lifelong bond and many cherished memories.
Iris worked as an assistant preschool teacher, where her kindness and patience helped nurture young children during their earliest years. Caring for others came naturally to her and was reflected in both her work and her personal life.
She found joy in spending time with family and friends, watching tennis, bird watching, dancing, and journaling. She appreciated the beauty in both life’s joyful moments and its quiet ones, always carrying herself with grace and gratitude.
Above all, Iris was a woman of deep faith and unwavering devotion to those she loved. She was a blessing to her family and a faithful friend, leaving behind a legacy of love that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
As we remember Iris, we give thanks to God for the gift of her life. May she rest in the eternal peace of the Lord. Her love, kindness, and memory will be cherished forever.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations in her name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the American Cancer Society.
