Joseph N. Prezzano of Brewster, NY, passed away Monday December 22, 2025, in Carmel, NY at the age of 87.
Joseph was born June 2, 1938, in Bronx, NY, son of the late Joseph and Marie (Marcisak) Prezzano. He graduated with honors from Rice High School in the Bronx and received his bachelor’s degree and graduated with honors from Manhattan College, then served with the United States Army. On May 19, 1962, he married Rosemary Perrotto in Our Lady of Assumption Church in the Bronx. Joseph worked as a Civil Engineer for Scalamandre & Sons in Freeport, NY retiring in 2000. After retirement they moved from the Bronx to Brewster, NY in 2005. Joseph was a member of the American Legion, Am. Vets and the Knights of Columbus in the Bronx and a past member of the Brewster Elks Lodge 2101.
Besides his wife Rosemary, Joseph is survived by his sons Robert Prezzano and his wife Emily of Brewster, NY, Richard Prezzano and his wife Cathy of St. Petersburg, FL; daughter Laura Talarico and her husband Dominick of Brewster, NY; grandchildren Nicole, Stephanie, Robert, Dominick, Cody, Nick and Kyra and great grandchildren Theodore and Sophia.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday December 27, 2025, at 10 a.m. at St. Lawrence O’Toole Church in Brewster, followed by a private cremation. Visitation will be held on Friday December 26, 2025, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Ave., Brewster, NY.
