Before Somers became a business headquarters for the Forbes family, it was home. Whether it’s Tom and Tommy—the father-son team at the heart of T.W.F. Contracting—or Alycia, head of Tag Realty & Property Management LLC, the connection to the community is at the center of everything they do—so much so that they recently relocated from down county to make their place of work the place they love to live.
“We have lived in Somers for 20 years and have always had our businesses located in Port Chester and Rye,” Alycia explained. “When the opportunity came up to purchase the property at 376 Route 202, we knew it was the perfect time to relocate our businesses."

Established in 1996, T.W.F. Contracting Inc. is a full-service, family-owned and operated residential contracting company. The father-and-son team of Tom and Tommy Forbes is hands-on, getting out in the field to manage every one of T.W.F.’s projects.
“We complete additions, full renovations, new-construction homes, bathrooms, kitchens, windows, siding, decks and more,” Alycia said. “We pride ourselves on our attention to detail, quality of craftsmanship and communication.”
With 10 full-time employees, T.W.F. can handle jobs from soup to nuts, completing excavation, carpentry, tile, painting and cabinetry work in-house to help keep projects moving promptly and on schedule.
T.W.F. also offers customized annual home maintenance contracts covering routine upkeep as well as emergency maintenance. The company is fully insured and licensed in Westchester and Putnam counties, Connecticut and New York City.
Alycia Forbes created Tag Realty in 2011 after completing her real estate broker education at NYU while balancing young motherhood, managing her husband’s contracting company and working as a property manager for a New York City realty company.
The business is named after her three children, Tommy, Anna and George. What began as a way to make a little extra money to help support her family, Alycia said, soon “sparked a passion.”
Fifteen years later, Tag Realty has grown into a fully fledged Forbes family business. Anna serves as social media marketing director, while George is a licensed real estate salesperson joining established agents Samantha Tremblay, Dore Iglesias and Antoinetta Carino.
“Tag Realty is built on the commitment to hard work, values and honesty,” Alycia said, noting that her background in construction, investment properties and commercial real estate “comes in handy in every real estate transaction.”
The company manages local investment properties and rental apartments, condos and single-family houses, while helping clients with first-home purchases, investment properties and sales of longtime family homes.
Deep Down Industries LLC is the most recent addition to the Forbes family portfolio.
Established in May 2020, the business fulfilled Tommy Forbes’s childhood dream of starting his own company when he graduated from Somers High School.
Licensed in Westchester and Putnam counties and fully insured, Deep Down has grown from cutting lawns and shoveling driveways to working with local contractors, builders and homeowners on excavation services, drainage, septic systems, repairs, retaining walls, masonry, driveways, plowing and more.
