The Yorktown Town Board scheduled a public hearing for Tuesday, July 14 on an extension of the Yorktown Water District that would add 82 parcels to the system.
Seventy-seven of the parcels are already connected to the district’s water supply but currently pay an out-of-district rate that is double the standard charge, according to Distribution Superintendent Paul Vasillo. Sixty-four of those properties are located in the Glasbury development off Catherine Street.
The remaining parcels would be newly eligible to connect to the water system if the extension is approved.
