For more than 10 years, Ed Lachterman has faithfully served the people of Yorktown, a community that means so much to our family and that we have been proud to call home for so many years.
But to us, Ed is so much more than our Town Supervisor. He is a neighbor, a friend, and someone who genuinely cares about the people and families who make this town so special.
Ed is a tireless advocate for his constituents, a champion for our veterans, seniors, first responders, small businesses, and the countless organizations that make Yorktown such an extraordinary place to live. We have watched him give his time, his energy, and his heart to this community year after year, always willing to lend a hand, listen to a concern, or stand up for the people he represents.
He doesn't just talk about service. He lives it.
This year, our family experienced unimaginable heartbreak with the tragic loss of our beautiful daughter, Sheridan. Our lives have been forever changed, and if there is one thing this tragedy has taught us, it is that leadership matters. Character matters. And having people in positions of responsibility who genuinely care about the families they serve matters more than ever.
Ed Lachterman is one of those people.
For over a decade, Ed has shown up for Yorktown, through celebrations, challenges, and difficult times. His dedication has never wavered. He understands that public service is a privilege, that public safety is a responsibility, and that every family deserves to feel safe, supported, and heard in the community they call home.
We believe the true measure of a leader isn't found in campaign promises or political speeches. It is found in the years they spend doing the work, the relationships they build, the people they help, and the difference they make when no one is watching.
And Ed Lachterman has spent more than a decade proving exactly what that kind of leadership looks like.
Yorktown is where we raised our girls, where we built our lives, and where so many of our family's most treasured memories were made. It is a community we love deeply, and one whose future matters enormously to us. We want leaders who understand what makes Yorktown special and who will work tirelessly to preserve and strengthen it for generations to come.
Ed has demonstrated time and again that he is exactly that kind of leader.
We are incredibly fortunate to have someone with Ed's experience, integrity, compassion, and unwavering dedication willing to continue serving our town.
Yorktown is a better place because of Ed Lachterman, and we are lucky to call him our Supervisor and our friend.
It is with tremendous pride and heartfelt gratitude that we wholeheartedly endorse Ed Lachterman for re-election as Yorktown Town Supervisor.
We ask our fellow Yorktown residents to stand with someone who has spent more than a decade standing up for all of us.
Some people hold public office. Others truly serve. Ed Lachterman has spent more than 10 years showing us the difference.
