Olivier Rzezwicki, a freshman from Putnam Valley High School and member of the Lakeland/Panas/Putnam Valley Rebel men’s varsity swim team, competed at the New York State High School Swimming Championship this past weekend at Ithaca College, with prelims on March 6, and finals on March 7.
Rzezwicki raced in the 100-yard backstroke against top swimmers from across New York State, said Patrick Connolly, head coach of the Lakeland/Panas/Putnam Valley Rebels men’s varsity swim team. He finished 22nd overall with a personal best time of 53.38.
“I can’t wait to get back in the pool next season and hopefully break some team records,” Rzezwicki said.
