Local officials and their supporters gathered at Yorktown Stage on the morning of Jan. 1 for their official inauguration ceremony. Town Supervisor Ed Lachterman, Deputy Supervisor and Councilman Sergio Esposito, and Westchester County Legislator Vedat Gashi were on hand; all will continue in their roles after being reelected in November. Former supervisor Ilan Gilbert, who returns to town government as a councilman, was also sworn in at Yorktown Stage.
Local faith leaders Rabbi Yahuda Haber of Yorktown Chabad and Msgr. Joseph Giandurco of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, along with New York State Assemblyman Matt Slater, were on hand to deliver remarks.
