YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. —Plans for a small-scale brewery and tasting room have earned the green light to move forward.

At a special meeting on Monday, July 28, the Town Board approved a zoning code amendment to include new provisions regarding breweries, paving the way for the proposed project at 1735 Front St.

Supervisor Ed Lachterman previously told Yorktown News that once the change was approved, Brett McCormack, co-owner of Menagerie Beer, and his team could proceed with the proposed project.

McCormack, following the meeting, said he was “excited to begin working on the space” to transform it into what will be called Menagerie Brewery and Tasting Room.

“Now comes the fun part of installing brewing equipment and canning line, building a bar and beautifying the space,” he said. “We can now say ‘coming soon.’”

Updates on the process and timeline will be shared on the business’s social media when available, McCormack said. The Instagram handle is @menageriebeer.
