YORKTOWN, N.Y.—A Long island man is facing felony charges after allegedly stealing a wallet at Club Fit in Jefferson Valley and later using the victim’s credit cards.
Yorktown PD have arrested 36-year-old Mark Ripolone of East Hampton and charged him with fourth degree grand larceny and fourth degree criminal possession of stolen property—both class E felonies—after responding to a report of a stolen wallet at Club Fit on Oct. 1.
Investigators got a lead when the victim’s credit card was used in Putnam County, police said. By reviewing video footage from the location where the stolen card was used, police identified the suspect’s vehicle, which led them to Ripolone. Police said they were able to place Ripolone at Club Fit at the time the wallet was stolen.

Ripolone was remanded to Westchester County Jail and later transferred to the custody of the Westchester County Department of Corrections. He is scheduled to return to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on Tuesday, on Oct. 8.
