YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. —Two Yorktown incumbents won reelection in uncontested races for town justice and highway superintendent.
Aviah Cohen Pierson, a Democrat, is a third-generation Yorktown resident and Yorktown High School graduate. She serves as town justice and previously worked as a court attorney in the New York State Unified Court System. She remains active locally through the PTA and Ethics Board.
Dave Paganelli, a Republican, has served as highway superintendent since 2014 and is a former town councilman. A 43-year town resident, he said he takes pride in his department’s work maintaining safety during storms and in his ongoing engagement at Town Hall and in the community.
As of 10:40 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 5, Pierson had secured 4,354 votes and Paganelli received 4,837 in their respective races, according to the unofficial tally of election results. These totals do not reflect early voting numbers.
