Hart to host bestselling author Kostya Kennedy

The John C. Hart Memorial Library will welcome bestselling author Kostya Kennedy on Sept. 17 for an engaging conversation about “The Ride: Paul Revere and the Night That Saved America.”

The Ride is a fresh, fast-paced account that separates myth from history while bringing one of America's defining moments vividly to life. Kennedy reveals the remarkable network of riders, spies, and ordinary citizens whose actions helped ignite the American Revolution.

This free program is part of the library’s yearlong focus commemorating the 250th anniversary of the Revolutionary War. Attendees will gain new insight into the events of April 18–19, 1775, the people behind the legend, and the process of transforming meticulous historical research into an unforgettable story.

“We are thrilled to welcome Kostya Kennedy to our Yorktown community. In his book, Mr. Kennedy details the 24 hours surrounding this epic historical event in riveting and compelling detail, including an interview with a direct descendant, Paul Revere III,” said Library Director Yvonne Cech. “You will be on the edge of your seat!  Come to the library and meet this fascinating author.”

This 6 p.m. event is sponsored by The Friends of the John C. Hart Memorial Library.

Admission is free, but registration is required. To reserve your spot, visit  yorktownlibrary.org or call (914) 245-5262.
