The Friends of the John C. Hart Memorial Library are gearing up for Library Giving Day, an annual event that encourages support for local libraries through online donations.
Set for April 7, the nationwide initiative highlights the important role libraries play in communities. Hart delivers nearly 2,000 programs each year for Yorktown residents of all ages. From pasta-making and watercolor classes for adults to Yarn-o-Rama and tech help for teens, plus storytimes, music, and movement for younger children, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Those who donate $15 or more will be entered into a drawing for gift cards from local businesses, including Pappous Greek Kitchen, Yorktown Pasta and Pizza, Oscar’s and Autobahn Car Repair.
