It is with deep love and cherished memories that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, affectionately known as "Candy." She was a woman who lived with a fierce spirit, an open heart, and an unwavering devotion to her family. To those who knew her, Candy was a protector and a force of nature. Whether standing up for those in need or guiding her family, she did so with a strength that made everyone around her feel safe. She taught us to be strong, to be polite, and to always be kind, living by the mantra that "nothing is impossible." Candy had a contagious zest for life. She loved music, dancing, and the simple joy of warm weather spent on the deck. A master of family traditions, she brought everyone together through her cooking—especially her cherished pasteles for Thanksgiving and her famous coquito and rice pudding for Christmas. She encouraged us to "dive into life" rather than wait for the perfect moment. She is survived by her loving husband, her four children (three sons and one daughter), two sisters, one brother, nine grandchildren, and one great-grandson. Her greatest legacy is the bond she built among us, and her final wish was that we stay together—a promise we hold dear. Though our hearts ache, we find peace in the memories of her laughter, her wisdom, and the unconditional love she planted in each of us. She will be missed every day, but her strength will remain our foundation forever.
