Blessing of the Animals October 4 at 2pm

The First Presbyterian Church of Yorktown will hold a Blessing of the Pets at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 4, in the church’s back parking lot. Members of the community are invited to bring their pets for a ceremony and individual blessings led by Pastors Chip Low and Tami Seidel.

The blessing celebrates creation and the call to be faithful stewards of the earth. Families also may bring a photo of a pet that is too sick to attend, unable to attend because of its temperament or has died in recent years.
