YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. — A leadership shift on the Yorktown Board of Education sees Lisa Rolle and Reshmi Bose take on the roles of president and vice president.

They were nominated and sworn in during the board’s annual organizational meeting on July 1. In May, during the district’s annual budget vote and school board election, Rolle and Bose were each reelected to a new three-year term.

Rolle, who served as vice president during the 2024-25 school year, succeeds Jackie Carbone, who held the role of president for 18 of her 19 years on the board. Carbone said during the meeting that she would not seek reappointment due to health reasons. While she will no longer hold a leadership position, Carbone will remain on the board as a trustee.

Rolle thanked Carbone for the nomination and her nearly two decades of service to the district. Beyond her work on the school board, Rolle is a partner at Traub Lieberman, which has seven offices across the country. She’s an accomplished litigator and serves on many committees and boards within the Yorktown community.

For most of her nine years on the school board, Bose, who has an MBA in finance from NYU’s Stern School of Business, has served as the chairperson of the audit committee. She also serves as the board’s liaison to the District PTSA, and before her time on the board, served as co-president of the Brookside PTA, president of District PTSA and president of the Foundation for Excellence over the span of several years.
