SOMERS, N.Y. - Somers native and acoustic musician Dan Zlotnick is ready to get music lovers in the holiday spirit when he releases his new single “Christmas Eve for Mrs. Claus” on Nov. 1.
The tune is a light-hearted tale that answers the age-old question: “What does Mrs. Claus do on Christmas Eve when she’s all by herself after Santa leaves to deliver presents?” From making prank calls to ordering Chinese food and lighting off firecrackers, Mrs. Claus isn’t afraid to find a little bit of trouble!
“I’m excited to lighten the mood a little bit this holiday season,” said Zlotnick. “It was so fun to think about what Mrs. Claus does all alone while Santa and the reindeer head out to deliver presents. In other songs and movies, she’s relegated to being a supporting character, so I wanted to give her some to shine as her truest self.”
In celebration of the new single, Zlotnick will be playing at a release party at Barley Beach House in Rye on Friday, Nov. 1 from 7 to 9 p.m. (Admission and performance are complimentary.)
