SOMERS, N.Y. - A Somers man is facing multiple felony charges following his arrest on Wednesday night after police responded to a report of suspicious individuals at a local pharmacy.
According to New York State Police, troopers from the Somers barracks, along with the Somers Police Department, were dispatched to CVS Pharmacy at 325 Route 100 at approximately 9:08 p.m. on Feb. 25.
Police said they located Corey Gardner, 33, of Somers, and a female passenger who matched descriptions provided to authorities. While speaking with troopers, Gardner allegedly exhibited signs of impairment and failed standardized field sobriety tests. He was placed under arrest. The female passenger was released during the investigation.
During an inventory search of the vehicle, troopers reported finding approximately 4.2 grams of LSD, 13.4 grams of MDMA, 44.6 grams of ketamine, 12 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, 18.8 grams of alprazolam (Xanax), and 54.4 grams of cocaine.
Gardner was charged with multiple counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, including two counts of second-degree criminal possession, class A felonies, as well as several class B, C and D felony possession charges. He was also charged with driving while intoxicated and driving while ability impaired by drugs, both unclassified misdemeanors.
Gardner was arraigned in Somers Town Court and remanded to the Westchester County Jail. He is scheduled to return to court on March 2.
