In Loving Memory of Richard Leone

December 24, 1945 – October 16, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Richard Leone on October 16, 2026, following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, father-in-law, and friend whose kindness, generosity, and gentle spirit touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Richard was the devoted husband of the love of his life, Clementina Leone. Together, they shared 56 wonderful years of marriage, building a life filled with love, family, and countless cherished memories.

He was the proud father of two daughters, Michele Leone-Renne and Melissa Hallock, and loving father-in-law to Frank, husband of Michele, and Darren, husband of Melissa. He was the adoring grandfather of five grandchildren: Mia, Matthew, Ava, Douglas, and Melanie, who brought him endless love and joy.

Richard and his father were proud business owners of the Lobster Palace in Mount Vernon for nearly 50 years. He was the person everyone turned to for the freshest Canadian and Maine seafood, especially during the holidays. His reputation extended far beyond his business. He built relationships, made connections, and became a familiar and trusted face to so many in the community.

Richard had many passions that made him who he was. He loved collecting coins and antiques, always appreciating the history and stories behind each unique find. He also had an amazing talent for shucking clams, a skill that became part of his signature and a memory that will forever bring smiles to the faces of those who knew him. Whether he was sharing his knowledge of a treasured antique, showing off a coin from his collection, effortlessly shucking clams for family and friends, or singing an oldie or two with his amazing voice, these special parts of his personality will always remain embedded in our memories.

But above all, Richard will be remembered for the incredible heart he carried. He was truly a man with a heart of gold. Anyone who had the pleasure of meeting him would undoubtedly agree. He was kind, gentle, selfless, and generous beyond measure. He was a man who would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need, never hesitating to help someone else. He had a tenderness about him and a goodness that was simply part of who he was. He treated others with a kindness that made the world a little brighter. His love for his family, his generosity toward friends, and the countless lives he touched are a testament to the beautiful person he was.

He was predeceased by his beloved parents, Esther Leone and Vincent James Leone.

Although our hearts are broken, we find comfort knowing that the love you gave us will never leave us. We will carry you in our hearts, see you in the little things, and keep your memory alive in the stories we share and the traditions we continue. Your presence will be felt forever.

You will be missed every day, loved for a lifetime, and never forgotten.
